Milestones are great markers on the timeline of your lives.
I was blessed to have met a young lady, D'Anna Stracuzzi when she was crowned Miss Martin County at the Martin County Fair in 2006.
I had met her family and we had remained friends over the years.
I witnessed some of her duties as the fair queen in addition to the preparation and culmination of her Girl Scout Gold Leadership project that carried her personal values and ethics into the project.
When I would return from a photo workshop D'Anna would be the first one I would call to test out the new skills and concepts.
At one particular shoot we did at the House of Refuge in Stuart D'Anna asked if she could bring her boyfriend. Of course the answer was yes. His name was Daniel and while D'Anna was getting changed from one swimsuit to another we would do a few images also.
The highlight of the shoot which was in 2011 was when I saw the signature white picket fence that surrounded the lighthouse. I wanted D'Anna leaning against it but it was a few feet over her head. The great sport he was came through when I made my next request to help her get a little taller.
Why am I sharing old stories about these two wonderful people now? This weekend I saw on Facebook that there was a proposal of marriage...in PARIS!
